Biography
Reylene Rose is a Filipino actor, singer, improviser and choreographer based in Christchurch, and a graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA). She is currently a member of The Court Jesters.
Reylene’s previous Court Theatre credits include The End of the Golden Weather, Thumbelina, The Littlest Ninja and Disney’s Frozen JR. (as choreographer).
Her other theatre credits include Me and My Nana, PLAY PLAY (Cubbin Theatre Company), O Little Town of Beckenham, The Flight Before Christmas, TOYS (Little Andromeda), Around the World in 80 Days (Anthony Harper Summertimes show), The Tortoise and the Hare (New Zealand Playhouse tour), Asian Kiwiana II: A Seat at the Table (Asian Waves Productions), Goldfish Girl (Two Productions), Severely Queer: We’re Coming Out, Isolation Mixtape Vol. 2 (Blackboard Theatre Collective), Footloose, Three Sisters, and Little Women (NASDA).
Reylene has been performing monthly in the long-running show Dungeons & Comedians since 2023, and has been a regular player in the Twitch and YouTube D&D show Dice Legenz since 2022.
Reylene is the voice behind “Backspace…Delete” on Isolation Mixtape Vol. 2 (Blackboard Theatre Collective), available on Spotify. She is also an in-house producer at Asian Waves Productions and a member of Equity New Zealand.
When not in the theatre, Reylene works as a Social Media Assistant with What Now. She enjoys creating visual arts, such as painting, and loves to play music on her piano and guitar.
