The Court Theatre depends on us and we need you.

Friends of The Court Theatre is a voluntary group providing invaluable support to The Court Theatre and contributing to its success. The Friends facilitate various activities for patrons and members and offer financial support through operational funding and sponsorships. This funding comes from our membership fees, fundraisers and donations.

Our Friends volunteers are also the Front-of-House ushers who show you to your seats, saving The Court Theatre about $200,000 each year in ushering costs.

We are proud of the support we give The Court Theatre, ensuring our city and its visitors can all continue to enjoy wonderful, enthralling live theatre. Become a member today and play a part of the continuation of this extraordinary live theatre company.

I hope you have attended some of the world class shows that have been performed on our stage recently and shared the pride we have for our Theatre. We do pride ourselves in being the best and oldest producing theatre in New Zealand and with the new theatre on the horizon we will have no hesitation in calling The Court Theatre the number one theatre in New Zealand.

The Friends have a very large, loyal and passionate membership that provides support for the theatre financially and in voluntary services.
